Better than alternatives
My new pans were sold without a lid. My old lids didn't fit. I first foolishly bought a metal "universal" lid that was too big to fit the smallest of my pans due to the angle of the pan handle. These two caps don't have this problem because the rim has the flexibility and step design needed to adjust the angle of the grip. I don't mind if the lid is a little sunken into the food. I'm just glad I can cover 3 pan sizes with 2 lids!
