Review on Scanner Epson Perfection V19 black by Mateusz Sowa ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The product does not match the description, poor quality.

In photographs with normal exposure and color saturation, it scans quite correctly and the flaws are invisible. However, something unimaginable happens in the drawings. All colors except orange and its shades are transmitted normally. But your bright orange pumpkins will turn into a bloody mess when scanned. I draw with Copic markers on paper for markers (tests were carried out with both glossy and matte paper - the difference is imperceptible). The scanner completely refuses to distinguish the colors R27-R08-YR07, merging them all into a shade more reminiscent of R27, if you drink it with the blood of virgins. When you try to twist the settings / color correction / profiles, the rest of the colors are killed (in normal mode, they look quite authentic). With pink, too, not everything is in order (it is killed in a cold saturated shade). For those who are not familiar with the copic palette: look at any pharmacy / store for the color of the packaging of masculan 3 and masculan 1 condoms - the scanner does not see the difference in them and merges them into poisonous red. 1 - scan of a watercolor drawing 2 - scan of "problem" colors 3 - original photo 2

Pros
  • Good quality scanned photos. Doesn't lather. Easy to use
Cons
  • Absolutely blind to saturated orange color, as a result of which it distorts all colors into colder shades.

See a scan of a child's drawing, in a pencil version, without twisting colors and clarity.
