What I was really looking for was a power recovery start delay to start/restart the air conditioner when powered by the standby generator. The delay is needed in order not to overload the generator. I had to disable the high temp shutdown for it to work. Devices exist for very heavy duty applications, but they are expensive and usually need to be hardwired to the power distribution box. Titanium makes a lot of electrical controls and I suggested to them that the manufacturer of this unit make one with no heat cut off and with a 0 to 5 minute time delay instead of 0 to 30 minutes. But for my purpose it works.
