Review on πŸ’š Hella H61923001 Single Pole LED Green Rocker Switch by Darren Neal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality switch - nice looks

As the title of the review suggests, this switch is of good quality and feels nice. The previous rating of a switch rated as low as 10 amps is incorrect and I have commented on the rating accordingly. This switch is rated (as stated on the switch itself) for 10 amps at 28 volts DC, which equates to 20 amps at 14 volts DC. Personally I find that small switches like this will last a long time if you don't push them to their rated limits, instead use the switch to operate a cheap car relay typically rated at 30-40 amps. Additionally, if you use a pre-wired relay socket (the relay and socket are sold here at Revain) any relay that fails in the future can easily be replaced. I gave four out of five stars in the rating because the Hella is out of service. Turn on the circuit with the switch, which is important because this switch has a built-in LED that must be properly connected - there is no marking on the switch or on the switch's accompanying paperwork (the switch comes in a box with no documents ) how to connect the LED to the circuit. Also, the three included 3/16 blade contacts are clipped from the real one and cut in the wrong place, leaving only two of the three usable. Also, these spade terminals aren't insulated, so I wouldn't recommend using them anyway. You can purchase insulated crimp terminal kits inexpensively from Revain or your local auto or hardware store.
