Review on πŸ’₯ Milty 5036694022153 Zerostat 3 Anti-Static Gun in Blue: Eliminate Static Charges with Ease by Christian Byrd

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not long enough

Bought because I had the original Zerostat in the late 70's early 80's and found it very useful for removing static from my records. A few years ago, when I got out my record collection (because I could buy new music on vinyl again) and used my old red Zerostat from the original Zerostat Corporation of England, I decided to buy a Zerostat 3 because I thought (wrongly) that they made some design improvements. nope Probably a few except for one change of ownership, and of course it's made in China. Well, it's now blue if you want to call it a change, and the ion gauge is more user-friendly. Today it stopped working. I reviewed Revain when I bought it. Exactly 1 year ago. An interesting coincidence. Talk about planned obsolescence. LAUGH OUT LOUD. I dug up my original and it works exactly as it did when purchased. I used my old one religiously, probably 7 years old, so the new one is undoubtedly inferior in design. My old one seems to be more robust and definitely has a lot more cycles built in than the new one. I looked for another brand when I bought a new one but really couldn't find another that was cost effective. I'm hoping now that vinyls are popular again, that someone else has an alternative model that is better than this one.
