works, but is not a solution.

It definitely does, and to my surprise, it removes static electricity from records; Just make sure you follow the instructions and slowly pull/release the trigger. The only problem is that the static returns instantly, so I'm not sure how useful that really is.

Static Neutralizer - Really Works

Originally developed to neutralize static electricity on vinyl records. I use it to get rid of static build up on my grinder which is very important. Functionally, it's the same gizmo as the original "White" from the 1980s. Positive ions when pulled out, negative ions when released. Claimed 50,000 surgeries but my white still holds up. I've also used it on things that came out of the tumble dryer and even my socks. I also had and lost the red one. I bought two of these blue ones when someone…

Works but needs patience

This is designed to reduce (not eliminate) static electricity on surfaces, but you must pull and release the trigger EXTREMELY slowly to get maximum benefit. A good general rule is to count to "5 Mississippi" for both the draw and the release. I've been testing a few new records that seem to have a lot of static - enough to cause the hairs on my arms to stand up when pulled out of my sleeve (yes, I'm hairy). After 4 shocks on each side (noon, 3, 6, 9) the static electricity was noticeably…

Does what it should. I think!

I think it works. There is great confidence in anti-static guns and records that they really do what they are supposed to do. There's no sound (if you hear a click when you pull or release the trigger, then you're doing it too quickly), there's no light, and nothing else to indicate you're actually removing static. However, I've seen videos showing how they actually eliminate static electricity, which is very important if you're serious about keeping your records clean. My only problem is the…

If you like throwing money away on all kinds of junk, you need to buy this!

This is what your Milty could look like before the year is out. I bought mine from Revain on February 18th, 2018. Now December 3, 2018. Milty - DOA. After ten months of very limited use, it stopped working. Revane would not exchange it for a new one. Good luck finding a manufacturer. I hit the blogs to see if it could be fixed. Yes, but it is strictly DIY. With no other repair or return option in front of me, I went the do-it-yourself route. Was the repair successful? For a few days it sounded…

Dubious buyer but VERY impressed: Proper technique is a must!

I'm surprised how great this works. My TT had static electricity that the carbon fiber brush never got rid of. That helped. Speaking of tricks, there's a trick to using it! If you hear a click, you are compressing too fast. Keep the LP on the edge: aim at 12 o'clock and slowly press/release, aim at 4 o'clock and slowly press/release, aim at 8 o'clock and slowly press/release, center on the aim and *just press*, vinyl liberation and devices. This is the original procedure from the instructions…

Works great, but you have to know how to use it!

Expensive but works. Don't use a nozzle at the end. Here's how: 1. Hold the rim and center label of the record with one hand. With the other hand, aim the gun at the flat side of the outside edge about 12 inches (1 foot) from the record, starting at a random 12 o'clock position. 2. SLOWLY pull and release the trigger. hear a very low hum. If you hear a CLICK, you pressed hard/quickly. It doesn't work or not and can damage the weapon. 3. Repeat contraction and release at 4 o'clock. p.m. and 8…

no no, it works. but you ONLY have to use it correctly

Dear Revain customers, make no mistake, this will work and for more than one record. actually something with a static charge (which shouldn't be there). Dear Milty, for 100 f***ing dollars they're gonna kill you if you write any instructions? What does it mean to you that EVERYONE should go to YouTube to learn how to use YOUR product? PS The instructions will be like this. trigger), then negative ions (activated by SLOW trigger pulls) leaving the target surface with a net zero charge (does not…

IT WORKS! Worth every penny!

I've always wanted one like this. As a result, I broke down and got it! Cost has always been my problem. If you're a teenager that's about $100, do I buy more records? Or expensive antistatic? My decision was always to buy more music! So I kind of learned to live without it! I remember having a record cleaning brush that contained a liquid that would wet the inside of the brush to reduce static when sweeping records, but sometimes you just needed something powerful, like this zerostat gun. But…

Not long enough

Bought because I had the original Zerostat in the late 70's early 80's and found it very useful for removing static from my records. A few years ago, when I got out my record collection (because I could buy new music on vinyl again) and used my old red Zerostat from the original Zerostat Corporation of England, I decided to buy a Zerostat 3 because I thought (wrongly) that they made some design improvements. nope Probably a few except for one change of ownership, and of course it's made in…
