The dentist told me to use night protection because I grind or clench my teeth and they wear down front and back teeth. I used to get one from another dentist but it was so bulky that I didn't like carrying it and ended up throwing it away. Instead of paying for another expensive dentist, I decided to try this $28 OTC protection. After two separate attempts at heating and shaping my upper teeth, I had the right, comfortable fit and wear them every night. It really seems to help me. And my molar sensitivity when chewing is really gone as I don't bite my molars all night anymore.
