We have an IKEA chair that I accidentally cut with a box cutter when cutting through the boxes, nice clean cut. I bought it to fix a slot. It's made of latex, so allergy sufferers should exercise caution when applying it to anything that may come in contact with skin. While this "fixed" the cut, it hasn't gone away as I naively expected. I've seen other repair kits that work almost like nail polish and fill in gaps. If I had chair color nail polish, I think that would be the best way to go. If it was a tear I think it could work better but the gap is more visible because this material dries white. Also, since the chair is leather, this glue applied to the back created a hard, dimpled mark where the slit was, making it more visible than the slit originally was. At this point it no longer flexes like leather. Now it looks like a hard patch. Overall I'm not impressed, but I slipped again and stabbed the leather chair with the knife.
