Pretty and compact holds up very well at any temperature it turns off. This is where the good ends. It doesn't even reach the declared 76-78 degrees. Ran to 84 before shutdown. I contacted Fluval customer service and was told to send it back as it turned out to be defective. I also have a P10 that does the same thing. I also reported this and was told that both are defective. The date of manufacture 20/21 is printed on the back of the heater. Temperatures measured with Thermapen and compared to other preset heaters. If you bought one of these, the first time you plug it in, make sure it's not too hot for you. Many fish cannot withstand such high temperatures for long.
