Review on 🧇 Efficient Chefman Anti-Overflow Belgian Waffle Maker: Shade Selector, Tempe Control, Mess-Free Moat, Nonstick Plates & Measuring Cup - Black by Jessica Dubois

My old iron died and after shopping and reading reviews I decided on this one and was looking forward to a nice crispy golden brown waffle. I was very disappointed. First off, the blue light that lights up when the waffle is done is very difficult to see, it's on the top at the back, you have to stand almost directly on it to see it burn. The waffles were nicely browned but very sluggish and pliable, not crispy at all. Even turning the setting past 4 the waffles were soft. They also smelled like they were on fire when cooking and tasted the same. I was also disappointed with the measuring cup, although it's a good idea not to read the measurements on the cup as they are the same color as the cup. They should be black or a dark, contrasting color. The iron is easy to clean. I was really looking forward to a good, crispy golden brown waffle, but was very disappointed. I have returned the waffle maker and will continue my search.
