It's a little bigger than I expected but the thermometer seems to work well so this thermometer will do what you need. However, the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I assume it was written in a non-English speaking country. The imprint is very small. To replace the battery, you need to unscrew the screw, remove the cover and insert two batteries. That's it, and the only useful part of it is "remove the screw". It took a few minutes to figure out what to slide off. A few more, where to put the batteries and how to "puzzle" them. When I opened it, a rubber ring popped out. What the hell is that for? I wrapped it around the foil. I'm still not sure if it's designed for that. This problem with instructions arises when your engineers do not have extensive training.
