Great addition for places where you need something more durable than cheap plastic models. This power strip from Tripp Lite comes with an all-metal body and a five meter power cord. It has eight plug-ins, 3 of which are for transformer plugs. That makes it invaluable to me. Mine sits in the garage next to my desk and gets a lot of use and abuse. One of the best features are the little plastic plugs that you can use when not using any additional plugins. In my case, the caps keep sawdust and other debris from getting into the connector holes. Not only is this unsafe, but it can also result in a fire. With my old power strip (left over from my electronics) I had to cover it to keep dirt out of it and things were still getting in and dying an untimely death. I got it working with this new extension cord from Tripp Lite with no problem. If you're looking for an extender that's as strong as a nail, this is the one for you.
