Revainrating 5 out of 5

(2011 F-150 passenger side) Worked fine, though.

Replaces an original Motorcraft switch (built for Ford). After removing the plastic cover to install it, it was easy to put back on. The problem with the installation is related to the Ford main cover that the switch is inserted into. I've watched a few videos, one of which shows where the main cover has a tear from someone's previous attempt to replace it. Ooooh, I spent some time trying my best not to make the same tear on the top right corner of the main cover. OF COURSE IT WAS A SMALL TEAR but I managed to put the main cover back on and the crack was gone when the main cover was put back on after the new switch was connected. Those 2 little switch caps, the middle one and the right one, were bloody difficult to take off. It looked like they would crack under pressure, but they didn't. The wide main cover has 2 buttons at the bottom and 2 buttons at the top. Try to solve the bottom ones first and then the top 2 will be easier. So, with all that said, 1) remove the center and right covers using a plastic wedge or a large flathead screwdriver with a plastic pick (or SIM card) to rotate them to avoid scratching the main cover. 2) First try to release the 2 bottom main cover latches by gently pulling them, then release the 2 above (good luck not breaking the plastic). 3) Disconnect the plug and replace with a new switch. 4) Putting things back together
