So far the new one is working great!
This is a Chevy spare wheel jack that is more likely to fail if dirt gets in. That's why I had to buy this one. I had to shorten the cable on the original to get a replacement cable. I'm sure it's as good as the original or better. Reinstalled works great. Hopefully it will never be needed again.
