Good Replacement For 2015 Ford Explorer Sport - Sensor Not As Sensitive As Factory

For Ford Explorer Sport 2015. The original block worked but was cracked. There were no instructions in the box and we couldn't find any replacement videos, so we went blind to this one. With general knowledge, the installation took 45 minutes. To do this you have to remove the driver's door panel and actually break off the old one because of the double sided tape. This is pretty easy if you know your way around door panels. You will need a 10mm and a 7mm socket to remove the door panel, six screws in total. There were two in the door handle and two in the door handle, every 10mm, two below were 7mm. After removing the screws, you can unscrew the tongues, you will need a tool for this. Once the door panel is free, remove the door plug. You need to remove the plastic wrap and put a new wire through it. Then you need to remove the old panel as carefully as possible, ours broke in several places. Then remove anything sticky. After you take it apart, you essentially run a cable, plug and play, and reinstall the door. You don't even have to tweak your code or anything, it's all stored by the car's computer. In the end I was glad the device worked because I didn't have to install the old one. The sensor is a bit dumber than the one originally installed, you have to drive slowly and press the numbers harder. There is a noticeable difference between the two vehicle trims, but this should even out over time. Overall I'm happy, but I wish the sensor was a little more responsive.
