Good magazine. The leather feels and looks good, and the strap that covers it doesn't feel like it will snap in half if you move it. The paper feels quite textured and seems to take any dry media and maybe some marker (alcohol based ones like Copics are softer on paper I find). It doesn't feel thick enough to support wet materials like watercolors or water-based markers. I was expecting a thicker paper based on another review, but for simple sketches (which I usually do in magazines) it's fine. You can always replace the filling with cotton paper.
