I bought this humidifier because it doubles as an essential oil diffuser. I haven't added any essential oil to the essential oil pan, so I don't know how this feature works. As a humidifier, it works well initially and produces a good volume of mist, but then the volume of mist decreases. After investigating the problem, I found that mist condensation is forming on the lid over the oil pan, preventing the mist from escaping. To get a good mist volume I should use a cotton swab to clean/dry the area where the mist will be sprayed. Another solution is to remove the oil pan cover and the mist will come out just fine.
