Review on 🌡️ Supco SC1002 Universal Freezer Temp Control - Replaces TJ90SC1002, AP4503077, CC-1, GC1002 by Gustavo Mathew

I bought this to replace the thermostat in the fridge which froze everything even at the highest temperature. According to the manufacturer Supco, this device serves as a temporary or permanent thermostat for a freezer or refrigerator. In my fridge, on the warmest setting, the compressor didn't turn off until the temperature hit 15°F — well below freezing. I exchanged emails with the manufacturer, who eventually told me it wouldn't work with most modern refrigerators, which use a fan to circulate air through the evaporator coils. Basically, this device only works for freezers. Luckily I found a similar product that works with both fridges and freezers by measuring the air in the fridge compartment (Robertshaw CC-1 thermostat). With it installed the temperature stays stable at 35F after three days and my problem is solved.
