I now have two freezers

When my fridge compressor broke, a repair technician chose this unit as a quick fix. Even on the lowest setting it freezes all of my groceries. I was glad to be brought up by the above reviewer. Time to take this product off the market.

Does the manufacturer really expect me to replace the entire unit because a cheap part failed? This "temporary " control is now permanently set to .

The exact replacement for my freezer is no longer available. Does the manufacturer really expect me to exchange the entire device because a cheap part has failed? This "temporary" control is now permanently installed in my freezer. Has been working flawlessly for over a year. Highly recommended for those who don't have an original or non-original part that fits the exact size.

34 year old fridge still alive

I have a 34 year old Hotpoint fridge and its refrigeration control failed about 10 years ago. I then got one of these and it was out of size. I calibrated it with ice water and it was fine until recently. This new one is just amazing. In the warmest conditions the neck is around 28-30 degrees and the cap around 38 degrees depending on the accuracy of the cheap digital thermometer I have in the fridge. All food and drinks are good and cold and nothing is frozen. He does what he has to do.

Happy with the result! It was installed in the freezer where it works great! I had to run around for two months trying to get a replacement part that Whirlpool discontinued. I bought this to replace the thermostat in the fridge which froze everything even at the highest temperature. According to the manufacturer Supco, this device serves as a temporary or permanent thermostat for a freezer or refrigerator.
