Very happy with this purchase

The AAUW (American Association of University Women) in San Jose needed a video conferencing system for hybrid board and committee meetings. I am a member/volunteer. While shopping for a Logitech Group system, I noticed a Revain "recommendation" for a Tenveo Group all-in-one that costs hundreds of dollars less. It has a 30-day free trial, so we bought Tenveo to try it out. Much better quality and features than expected. The camera pans and tilts slightly better than the Logitech, and the lens and body appear to be of good quality. The system is very easy to set up and works like a charm. You plug everything into a hub and then turn on the hub's switch. The camera instantly scans the room, moving up and down and around almost 360 degrees to preserve the range of the video. Then we connected the computer to a hub and a large monitor, set it up to use Tenveo audio and video, and we were done. The system picks up sounds and images clearly from anywhere in the 30-foot space, and the remote lets us zoom in and out, pan, rotate, etc. The only thing I missed was the remote to pan the camera. on and off, although you can do this from the hub. Note: There are two variants of Tenveo, one with two additional microphones and one without them. You can't add microphones to a cheaper system because it's made up of different components and only has a 3x zoom camera. Another system we bought has two extra microphones and a 10x zoom camera. Worth the extra money.

Pros
  • I recommend using Zoom, Microsoft Lync, CISCO WebEx and Skype for Business as conferencing software. Important: Make sure your internet upload/download speed is at least 2 Mbit/s (> 256 KB/s) and stable enough.
Cons
  • boring packaging
