Review on Neoteck Digital Multimeter Backlit Integrated by Gregory Castellanos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This meter won't leave you in the dark

The best thing about this meter: It doesn't have a backlit button. The light will remain on until the meter turns off (15 minutes). I have multiple meters and often work in dark places with just two hands to hold the meter, two probes and probably some parts of the circuit I'm trying to probe. How should I press the backlight button to see the screen in the dark? Of course, you could imagine turning on the backlight before anything else. But this backlight only stays on for 15 seconds to save battery! pull my hair out if I had a free hand to do it. The information page doesn't tell you that, you have to find that out for yourself. Speaking of which, the other important thing about this meter is the AA batteries. I don't understand why others use AAA batteries, they are 1/4 capacity and cost the same. It's not that there's no place for AA. at least battery manufacturers will be happy. They also don't tell you how long the batteries will last. Well, this meter draws about 25mA. AA batteries last 100 hours if you manage to turn the meter on 400 times every 15 minutes after turning it off. So I give this counter 5 stars without even using it.
