Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Proform 66784 Valve Spring Compressor: Efficient Tool for Engine Valve Maintenance by Tim Hollins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

best valve tool time.

Maybe I've tried every valve tool you can find and mostly the cheapest, it's just a valve right? After owning this tool I will never use anything else again. No more fumbling with a loose head pressing against a valve spring trying to push your finger out, just drop the cotter pin/retainer and fish it out, and after you fail with just one free hand, you can start over start. I used to look at them and they looked a bit complicated but damn why didn't I buy them 4 years ago? Should be in the top five best tools of all time. I used to HATE making valve springs, now I love it! The only thing I noticed after I could stop fiddling with screws and bits was that the angle of the lower jaws was a bit too big, I adjusted the tool to remove each of the 2 cotter pins. I put it in a vise and squeezed a bit, now it works 100%. It's on a small block Chevy. Thank you ProComp!
