Smooth white glow surface, not a fancy "mask" like the other one I bought. The top and side weights are good but I probably won't use them. While it's quite heavy, for what you get it feels "rugged" so it's not a problem. But it's pretty slippery to hold on to, now there's a lot of plastic stuff, like a damn bar of soap. It has rubber feet on the bottom. So if you can take it anywhere without dropping it, you're good to go. Very large surface area, I really like this thing but it's actually about 5 times more than I need. But I will keep it. Yes I would buy it again.
