Yes, fits 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71. It has a different shape than the original and requires a little work to install. The old drive was held in place with a single TORX screw that can be removed from the front of the drive. You will also need to remove the metal plate from the tailgate to put the TORX screw (new drive) back in place. The screw goes through the metal plate on the back and into the plastic casing of the new drive. Although the casing of the old and new drive may look different, the new one fits. Make sure the new drive tabs are inserted under the metal plate to lock them in place. Check this before putting the padding back on.
