Perfect OEM replacement, part of the cost

Fits my 2006 Yukon XL Denali perfectly. Installation took a while as I took my time figuring out how the part came out, but after that it was a breeze. A few screws and a couple of dowels reinstalled my fairing and my truck is back in business. This part is listed at my local dealers for $120+, $20 each, it's a bargain and saved me a lot of money!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great product at a great price

The complexity of the installation has nothing to do with the product itself - it extends to the place of installation. There are videos on YouTube that help with body panels. The only difficulty with the product itself is the alignment of the gear and arm that moves on the bracket and the alignment when the bracket is re-attached to the tailgate. The same product is 6x the price in AutoZone so a great deal and a solution to my problem with my 2006 Yukon Denali.

Pros
  • A pleasure to use

  • No

so far so good for spare parts

so far so good. It was installed on a 2006 GMC Yukon Denali. quite simple structure. Just be careful not to lose the small long piece of plastic that connects the lock to your car's locking mechanism. It's a lost part on your old actuator. You'll understand what I'm talking about once you get it. This is the only old part you will need to install the new actuator. It's not in the new part. If you lose or damage these, you will not be able to install them.

Pros
  • many positive emotions
Cons
  • a bit expensive

Exceptional value - hopefully out of warranty

Replaced this item for a colleague. Local 2006. Worked for a Buick/Pontiac/GMC dealership in Texas doing trim/body work. I am familiar with window latches/adjusters and many other "finishing" jobs. Maybe an hour max to diagnose (check fuses, relays, wiring) and replace a part. NAPA requires 150, Advanced Auto requires 120. Not sure what the big price difference is, but the part works fine. Listed as a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure how this will work, but hopefully I won't have to find out.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

You may need a 6-32 x 3/4 " machine screw and locknut

Part fits a 2004 Tahoe well except the hole for attaching to the bracket was in a different location than what was pulled out. There was an extra hole in the bracket to match the piece. I couldn't reuse the set screw I removed from the old one, had to use a 6-32 x 3/4 machine screw and nylon to mount on Not much considering the price, it could save you going to the store, you also have to save part of the original drive.

Pros
  • GOLS Certification
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great for motors

When the drive stopped working I did some research online and found exactly what went wrong. I had an additional problem installing the Truck Vault in my Suburban. If you watch the drive replacement video, you will be told that you must remove the inner panels to manually open the door. This is not possible with the Truck Vault! Luckily I found a video showing how to open the sunroof without removing the panels, once the sunroof is open everything else is pretty easy. I like to buy local when I

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Minor issues

Fits 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71

Yes, fits 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71. It has a different shape than the original and requires a little work to install. The old drive was held in place with a single TORX screw that can be removed from the front of the drive. You will also need to remove the metal plate from the tailgate to put the TORX screw (new drive) back in place. The screw goes through the metal plate on the back and into the plastic casing of the new drive. Although the casing of the old and new drive may look different…
