Let's face it. These lids are inexpensive, but that doesn't mean you should expect the strap attachment point to detach from the lid that easily. I had 4 small clips holding the gasket that I had to glue on. They broke this morning. Tension on one strap (I assume NBC because the speaker isn't installed yet) should have held. It's an expectation and they failed.
