Based on GC2 ball flight data, they fly a little over half the distance of a regular golf ball like the Titleist. However, they're significantly quieter than a regular ball, and because they're much lighter, erratic shots in an enclosed environment like a golf simulator room also deal significantly less damage. Their lightness compared to a regular ball will put off some people who want to "feel" the clubhead's impact on the ball. Thing is, everyone wants that feel, but these balls are intended as an "indoor play" compromise that trades distance and the feeling of being able to hit the ball indoors without disturbing your family or neighbors. The GC2 monitor tracks the ball like a normal ball, so if you're just practicing you can certainly see the ball's correct trajectory and at least for me it's enough for both fun and practice. I don't know how durable they are but they seem to be of good quality if a bit pricey. However, you're unlikely to lose them inside, so you'll likely get a lot of use out of them!
