Review on Custom LeatherCraft 1528 Electrical Maintenance by Dwayne Quarles

I have an old design 1526 bag and I really like it. He is 6 years old and has suffered greatly. I ordered a new one in early 2017 and received a redesigned bag with a side parts tray. The new design is terrible. All materials used are much cheaper and very thin. The parts tray is also much cheaper. It was a bad move by the CLC. If I can't find any of the old bags, I choose another brand. I returned the new style bag mainly because I prefer the tray underneath the bag as it gives more stability. Having worn my current bag for as long as mine, I expect the new bag to last about two years due to the lighter, lighter material. ***Update 5/26/18*** I ended up having another bag of this new style as holes finally appeared in my old bag. This new bag is so annoying. They really screwed it up in every possible way. Firstly I have lost 4 tape measures from this bag over the course of a couple of months because they lowered the tape measure holder so low that when the bag was set down it happened to detach from the tape and remained behind. The parts tray under the bag made the old bag so stiff that because it's on the side it sticks out and digs into you when you wear it. The lighter material used is weak and flexible compared to the old style bag. All tool pockets are loose and flexible, making tools easy to fall out. When you put the bag down, the entire bag just sags and the tools fold out. It's just a sad pathetic bag. IF I HATE IT. ***UPDATE 7/17/19*** I have this new designer bag for the next 1-1/2 years. Needless to say, it's toast. I'll consider myself lucky to get out of this bag for a few more months. The bottom has numerous holes on the corners with a plastic support inside, several pockets have holes not only on the bottom but also on the sides. The material is worn down by things like the plastic plane of the Empire, the rubber handle of the Klien screwdriver, forget anything that's actually metal. Skip this bag and find something else.
