Cheap, cheap, cheap. I bought 6 of these while restoring my boat. Be extremely careful when installing as it is very easy to rip off the VERY weak plastic that the screws penetrate. In less than 2 months on the water 2 of these broke. When opening the hatches I had to be very careful not to break even more. For example, gently pull the latch and lift the storage hatch at the same time. I spent money on these bars now I have to buy 6 more (but not these). You could invest that wasted money in a set of bars that last a long time.
