I have 2 mini PCs and 2 MacBook Airs at home that don't have a CD/DVD drive. Let's face it, CDs and DVDs are now considered obsolete and have been replaced by digital downloads/streams and Blu-ray discs. However, I still have tons of DVD movies I bought and CDs I want to listen to or digitize, not to mention my friends who give me data DVDs for photos they took. For these reasons, I decided to buy an external player that not only reads CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays, but also writes to them! I have tons of burnable blank DVDs and Blu-rays that I use to back up family photos and important documents. What I really like about this drive is that it can be plugged into a USB port as well as the newer USB-C port. WHAT I LIKE: [+] Can read any disc from CD, DVD and even Blu-ray. Please note that you need special software to play Blu-ray movies on your computer. [+] Flexible connection via USB 3.0 port or newer USB-C port[+] It has two USB 3.0 ports on the side, so it can act as a hub and give you extra USB ports! [+] It also has SD and microSD card readers on the side! [+] It can also burn to blank CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, which I need to back up important files and family photos[+] Plug-N-Play ready. No software needs to be installed. It just works! WHAT I DON'T LIKE: [-] Absolutely nothing! RESULT: 10 out of 5 stars! I love this external drive that can read and write discs of any format. Note that it doesn't write to M-Disc, but it is a special, unusual disc. I appreciate the dual-port design, as the newer MacBooks only have USB-C ports, not to mention there are 2 additional ones Can add USB ports for you. They really thought of everything when they designed this external drive to be more than just a CD or DVD player. I highly recommend this wonderful ride.
