I try my best to write positive reviews but this coffee pot is a real disappointment. The brewing speed is very slow and a couple of times it has stalled midway for some reason and won't restart until I remove and reinsert the carafe. It is very difficult to pour coffee from a carafe without spilling something. I've learned to pour it down the sink to keep the mess to a minimum. In addition, the carafe lid does not come loose or open wide enough to interfere with cleaning. Luckily I have rather small hands, which is another annoyance because the carafe is very narrow at the top. The last problem for me is the very light weight. I think it can be knocked over very easily.
