What a neat little model puzzle. The instructions were very straightforward, concise, and easy to follow along with. The pieces pop out of the finely (i assume) laser etched stencil framework easily enough with a satisfying snap. There are extra pieces of the easy to break parts which saves on frustration. It takes a careful hand yet proper amounts of force to properly assemble it and any kid is going to have a sense of accomplishment when they pull off the full assembly. The detail is Amazing for a relatively simple all wooden puzzle. Its really not that simple though and a lot of thought went into the design. The wheels do turn and the dump bed dumps and the tail gate door swings open and locks shut. The driver door opens to reveal a dash with gauges and detail in the seats. What a terrific gift. My daughter is 9 and I'm not sure though that she could do it. The box says 8 and up but I'd say 10 or 12 yr Olds would be minimum. Judging the right amount of force to snap it together without breaking it is difficult enough that I wouldn't recommend for kids under 10, and if the kids dexterity is below average, 12 yr old would be more the limit. Can't say enough about it though, what a cool item amd worth every penny. 5 star all day!
