I ordered a magnetic mount. Cheaper than other retailers. Quickly snaps into the space between the front air intakes on the 2019 Mazda CX-5. The magnetic force is strong and keeps the GPS safe. We prefer Garmin GPS with free lifetime updates. The ideal place for the round magnet is in the middle of the back of the Garmin. You can break off the round piece, remove the paper behind the magnet and place it in that spot. We cleaned the area with alcohol and applied pressure to the magnet for a few minutes and allowed it to build force for 24 hours. I don't know if these steps are necessary. We use the GPS in a horizontal position and the magnet is strong enough to keep it in that position. This is a great addition to an SUV. My only concern is if the latch on the holder can be easily removed, but I don't plan on doing that.
