This worked very well with my 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic California.
worked great. I wish there were some instructions but if you are careful and patient when taking out the old one this is the perfect replacement. Before disassembling the actual device for reference, take some photos. Customer service was also very quick.
