I usually skate about 2.5-3 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. 4-5 of these days I drive on a paved parking lot. That's 10-15 hours of tarmac riding a week plus 3 hours of polished cement a week. Needless to say, I go through the wheels pretty quickly. In fact, before I found these guys, I had to turn/rotate wheels every other day and needed new wheels every 2 weeks. In contrast, they only need to be flipped/turned once a week, while I only need to change them about once a month. If I wanted to stretch it I could probably do it for 6 weeks before encountering any safety issues. In any case, that's 2-3x the wheel life compared to the stock wheels on my skates and the spare wheels I've used before. The best part is that they are actually roughly the same price. So if you ride a lot of tarmac I would definitely say these wheels are worth it. Slippage isn't a problem unless I forget to flip/spin: if you make the inside corner of the wheel too stiff, sometimes the wheel just doesn't have enough grip, no matter how good the wheel itself is. Flip the wheel and the slip stops. I mean, sometimes I ride in the rain and I still don't have a problem with it.
