Review on Quartex Quartz Movement Maximum Thickness by Benjamin Robinson

I was surprised that there is an industry standard for this movement and it was fairly easy to remove the old one and put the original watch hands on the unit. The attachment to the watch case was a bit different, but if you have some manual dexterity it's not a problem. It's been working fine for a few months now, I'll update if there are any issues as I expect it to last for years (the original worked for about 10 years and eventually stopped responding to oil.) Just keep an eye on the dimensions and measure the old one - there are several options with different shaft diameters etc.! This device had a slightly longer threaded stem than the original, so I had to mount it farther from the dial with a few extra washers, but it didn't have a noticeable visual impact on the end result!
