Faulty boards and poor quality design

Let me just say that I love ASUS ROG boards. I've built three computers with the Hero line and am building another with the Strix, but the Maximus XIII Hero board was the most disappointing board I could come up with simply because of poor manufacturing. I bought two and both had flaws that I don't want to put up with. The first board kept running with a watchdog_timeout_error meaning something was either broken in the CPU socket or in the memory channels as nothing fixed the problem except returning the board and buying a replacement. The second board has bad pins where the case connects the power button on the I/O panel to the board, which means I have to open the case and press the power button on the motherboard to actually boot the computer. Dealing with these motherboards was a royal pain. COVID is no excuse for poor quality products and this is their most effective excuse. I'm going to RMA my second board and will review my options. ASUS, you must start production or you will lose loyal customers like me to Gigabyte and MSI.
