Very good board for computers and accessories

I received this board when it was available because I was afraid it would become unavailable while waiting for the 11th gen CPU. I only used it until March 31st with my i9 19850K and 1TB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS and wasn't impressed at all. I even started a comeback with Revain due to all the negative reviews on YT until March 30th. I couldn't get my hands on the 11th gen i9 but instead I pre-ordered the i7 11700K and it arrived one day late April 1st when my returns window closed. All in all, Iโ€ฆ

Updating s/p 11900k

I'm updating the gen z87 Maximus VI (2013) to give you an idea of the durability of these boards. With my 4770k I was able to overclock to around 4.7 GHz @ 1.25 V on the air, with DDR3 (1866) RAM up to 2133 @ 1.5 V1) This board is NOT intended as a short term upgrade. If you use it to its full overclocking potential (when the programs eventually need it) it will last 5-10 years depending on your preferences. 2) I hope bajesus that the above is true for this version of MOBO because it'sโ€ฆ

Awesome 11th gen motherboard with support

The previous motherboard was ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark I and the processor was i5-4690K. I bought this motherboard and i7-11700K and it was worth the upgrade. Paired with a Samsung 980 PRO 2 TB NVMe M.2 SSD, I take full advantage of PCIe 4.0. Unfortunately, PCIe 4.0 is not available for 10th Gen CPUs and Samsung 970 PRO NVMe M.2s SSDs. I also use two SATA drives along with an M.2 SSD. For those who want to use the 4th M.2 slot, the 5th and 6th SATA drive ports will be disabled. I'm a totalโ€ฆ

Faulty boards and poor quality design

Let me just say that I love ASUS ROG boards. I've built three computers with the Hero line and am building another with the Strix, but the Maximus XIII Hero board was the most disappointing board I could come up with simply because of poor manufacturing. I bought two and both had flaws that I don't want to put up with. The first board kept running with a watchdog_timeout_error meaning something was either broken in the CPU socket or in the memory channels as nothing fixed the problem exceptโ€ฆ

Support in general is terrible

So I had a thick sticker on the box that said "enhanced detection" by hand. Revain said to contact Asus and Asus says they never installed anything like this. What ever. I opened the box, the motherboard was obviously already open. I could tell from the fingerprints and the hair in the box. Pooh! Anyway, I have everything set up on my system and what we have here is that I can only run one drive at a time. (THIS IS MY BOOT DISK ONLY) I contacted Asus support and they said they couldn't help meโ€ฆ

Worth the price?. YUP!

Having had motherboards as low as $200 or less, this was a big change for me and I can tell the difference. The first thing you should know is that this motherboard is designed to overclock your CPU and boost its performance. Therefore the price is high. That being said, you pay for what you get, a really solid motherboard with tons of features. It is built for years to come! I was surprised at how well weighted it is since it contains HUGE VRM heatsinks. Features: Four M.2 options (be sure toโ€ฆ

Love it.: Computers and Accessories

I love this board it works fantastic no crashes no issues the second second I booted it up it just worked like a charm and was complete quietly. These are probably the least problematic builds I've ever encountered. I am 39 years old and have been assembling since I was 15. This one was the best ever. I wish I had access to the Rocket Lake i9 but it sold out so fast, ridiculous, like 10 minutes from midnight I think. Wanted to send the board back and say it was over. Then I did a littleโ€ฆ
