Review on Dorman 742 801 Mazda Window Motor by Terry Herrera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great on Mazda 6 2005. Driver's side window

My driver's side window would not roll down, I removed the window switch and tested it with a test lamp. The switch passed the test so I bought a power window, removed the door card and removed the motor from the controller, reconnected the switch and turned the original motor, not connected to the controller. It turned out that the original motor wasn't powerful enough to wind down the window. I installed a new motor on the ESC and tried the box before putting everything back together and everything worked fine. You will need to remove the speaker (Torx screwdriver or small head for speaker screw removal) to place your hand behind the plate to hold the controller in place while you align the motor teeth with the controller teeth. The work took about 45 minutes. completed and now the window is working fine. Watch some YouTube videos and you can replace the motor yourself.

Pros
