two of the six only work one way - darkest setting

They appear to be good but based on previous experience ordering lamps from Amazon I tried all the lamps on the day they arrived (today). . Two of the six pears are not triple, although they are clearly marked as such. They turn on at the lowest setting, but then turn off instead of ramping up to 60W and 100W. Too much pain to go back so I use them where I need a dim lightbulb. I hope the other four hold up - they still work out of the box.
