I bought these collars for my recently adopted cat Charlie who is about 5 years old. Charlie came from a shelter where he was abused (verbally or hit) by a man and ended up at our local animal shelter. My cat died suddenly, and since I live alone, after a few weeks my daughter and I sent a message to a woman at a local animal shelter (since our family only takes in rescued kittens) that I was looking for the cutest, lap-loving kitten possible. Almost immediately the wife told me about Charlie and when I saw his photos I fell in love! It's even bigger than advertised! He's the cutest, most loving kitty we've ever had and I thought he'd love a Christmas collar to celebrate the holidays! (He wanted and got a sweater too). Most of the collars I found were paired for some reason and I went with this one. I'm wearing a green collar and it looks so cute. It has to be comfortable because Charlie has no problem wearing it. Taking off a star from five out of four for durability only because the bow tie (which is detachable), which is partly made of tulle, wears out a little after a while, I think because it got scratched every now and then. All in all it was a very good buy. We can definitely use the one he has now (the green one) and we still have the yellow one for the future. This is a very worthwhile purchase, well made and attractive, with Christmas characters around the collars and a detachable bow tie. I wholeheartedly recommend these collars to you and your pets for a wonderful holiday season.
