Review on Mungyo Gallery Pastels Wood Standard by Gelin Battle

NOT GALLERY LINE!

I ordered this set because I have several Mungyo Gallery Oil Pastels that I bought from open stock through Jerry's Artarama at a local store. Since they cost over $2 per open stock, it turned out to be a great buy. However, please note that although the description states so, this set is not part of the Gallery range for artists. This is Mungyo's student class, which is inferior - not only below the artist's level, but below every other student class, including the Pentel children's line. First, pastels are extremely hard, meaning there is little color. touched. The Gallery line is very soft and almost like soft dry pastel. Also, those student grades are crumbling horribly. In fact, it's the worst I've ever been. I tried not to leave tiny crumbs with every movement! The only good thing about this set is that it comes in a very nice wooden box. But that's not enough of a reason to throw away money on those terrible crayons. You can't even call them oil pastels. As they do not match the description online and are not "gallery" pastels as advertised I have sent them back. Throwing away money on those awful crayons. You can't even call them oil pastels.
