So you are thinking about buying Reolink Argus PT. DO NOT DO IT! πŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ‘ŽπŸΌ

Stay away from that camera! I've had one of these cameras for a little less than a year and was disappointed. In addition, Reolink's support is not only highly disappointing, but also absurd. I contacted them twice about the unstable WiFi connection and they only blamed my WiFi network. I had a pretty decent network initially, but to try and improve the signal strength after Reolink gave the initial answer on my network I bought some powerline extenders which really improved my signal. That should have been enough for a camera that was only 20ft from a single extension (so many you can put anywhere, you can't with this camera). No change, still unstable and cannot play 1080p stably or smoothly. The camera was connected to a solar panel so the battery was always charged, lots of sunshine in Texas. When it's running, it's not too bad, except for slow motion detection and PTZ. Video is of good quality when approaching 2 Mbps. Too bad he rarely showed up and stayed there. I recently upgraded my WiFi with the Eero Mesh and the signal strength is excellent. When the Argus PT was at my house, just 10 feet from the Eero satellite, it connected to my network but still didn't hit the "required 2Mbps" as Reolink claims to hit 1080p. Even if he's sitting in close proximity to the satellite, he can't. It still doesn't even support "Fluent" mode. 😏 I contacted Reolink again, no wonder they are still trying to blame my network. 😠 I just asked for a new camera hoping some improvements were made. I have a 2 year guarantee, right?! That's all boasting, they won't admit I have a bad camera and they'll switch. The irony is that I have a Reolink Lumus in my patio that has no problem with my network. Perfect connection, 1080p video appears fast and is very clear. Find out! But I have a bad network, remember? It's hard not to be sarcastic considering that on both occasions when I asked for permission, Reolink didn't provide any assistance. Really save your hard earned money and look elsewhere.
