I bought a six pack (at Revain) in August 2019 for less than $10. I put on a pair of baseball caps and a pair of panama hats. I wear baseball caps when I play golf or work outside and panama hats when I fish and for most other outdoor activities. I wore these hats in late summer and early fall and started again this spring. Based on this somewhat limited experience I would say they absorb sweat and add to the comfort of a hat. However, there comes a point when they become saturated and most of the benefits are lost until they dry up. For those who sweat long days in the sun (e.g. hauling hay or something), they might be less helpful than those who sweat a little golf cart driving. I only washed my hats and didn't try to reuse the liners. (I don't think they can be cleaned, except for superficial dirt.) For my purposes, I like them enough that I wanted to order more, but they're not a "must have". I'm hesitant right now because they've almost doubled in price in less than a year. At around $50, around $3, I'm seeing a little price resistance. I plan to use the two I have left and see if the price goes down.
