Review on Ceptics UK, Hong Kong, Ireland, UAE Travel Plug Adapter (Type G) - 3 Pack [Grounded & Universal]: Efficient Solution for International Travel Power Needs! by Ahmed Jackson

Better than store bought

I bought three packs for a trip to some countries of the former British Empire and I was very fortunate to have all three with me, as well as a few other styles. She used two for her laptop and cell phone, and lent the third to a fellow traveler who bought one (more than I paid for three) at a store whose last name rhymes with Rack. His was defective (the metal clip inside was bent, preventing a US plug from being inserted) and my three worked perfectly. Reviews saying they are well made are true. The ground (third pin) is very important for powering my laptop - enough concern to trust the 220 volt conversion without also worrying about the ground. or third world countries. We were staying in a hotel built by the Swiss and although some of the sockets were British style they installed European/continental style table lamp plugs. This meant that the plug closest to the bed (where I put my alarm phone) was type E/F (Schuko). It's convenient to carry multiple plugs of different types and this is the best deal I've seen at this price point. The "universal" style that rolls into different configurations is cumbersome to use (I don't trust things that try to do everything) and for the same price you can probably buy a couple of three packs of different types you need (or could need) and they work without much fuss and don't take up much space.

Pros
  • Works in Bahrain, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Dominica, England, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine
