Review on High-Quality Alternator Replacement for Mazda Miata L4 (90-93) - Premier Gear PG-13227 by Daniel Evans

Bought for my 1993 Miata, worked fine but started making noise after a few days. Being mechanically inclined I took it apart and found that the screws holding the voltage regulator and other parts to the back of the case were loose, one screw had loosened enough that the cooling fin was on the back of the stator rubbed. Against that. I tightened the three screws and straightened the slats and everything has been fine ever since. I'm impressed with the overall quality of the product, my concerns aside, the pulley is one piece, the windings and stator are well finished and feel powerful. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the loose screws.
