Bought this thermometer twice. I bought orange for the first time. This time I bought a black thermometer as a gift for my daughter. She was delighted! It is very durable and very accurate. I also really like this thermometer. I would like to leave 2 ratings as I have bought it twice. Since I can't, I'm editing the first review to include my daughter's feelings. She's used it for everything from oven roasted chicken to grilled Tritype to yeast-activating milk. This worked wonderfully in all situations. The light comes in very handy when you use it in a hot oven. It's very easy to clean. Our other thermometers always stopped working or were extremely inaccurate, this one is awesome! To be honest I had low expectations here too, just based on the past with fast reading thermometers. As soon as I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised. It was the perfect weight! I've tested it on ghee, sourdough bread, roasts, etc. She loves this thermometer! It's magnetic, so she just puts it on the range hood or fridge for quick access. She said what he likes best is how quickly it registers the temperature (within seconds) and the fact that she can wash the entire thermometer, not just the tip. Thanks for another great product!
