I have been using this scale to weigh coffee beans almost every day for the past 6 months. The included batteries only died a few weeks ago, so a lifespan of around 5 months on a set of batteries seems pretty good to me. Replaced the batteries with rechargeable ones and it works perfectly. The only weird thing is that when you first changed the battery it showed full power and the next day it showed a bar. However, I don't care how accurate the battery gauge is as long as it works. It could also have something to do with batteries, not sure. Sometimes I have to re-tare it in use, but I've encountered this problem with an analytical balance. Even a little static electricity can ruin readings. However, the reading is not very inaccurate, even if it drifts a little.
