I bought these to make vanilla extract and they are perfect for that purpose. Each jar was bubble wrapped and placed in individual box dividers, no damage. The glass is thinner than the ball cans I'm used to, but for my purposes they fit as expected. If I had to store food I would buy a thicker jar.
