I got two of these about a year ago and my parrots and cockatiel didn't seem to like it or disliked it, it would be instant after a while been plucked. I then placed another one with our lovebird who was having a hard time (she laid an egg without a mate). Our lovebird loved this grinder. Our pineapple kennel noticed it and wanted to cut it too! Now I have to keep buying them. If I move or adjust the mill as it gets smaller, these two birds will protect it. With daily use for hours, the average lasts about 3 weeks. I have ordered many of these and I know the colors are random but so are the sizes! My birds fit small, medium or large and I only bought medium but got all 3 sizes. I don't know why, but my birds like red and green best? and yellow and pink are the least. but you can't choose your colors.
